COVID-19 has had a unprecedented impact on the world, including supply of essential commodities to prevent malaria transmission. The World Health Organization is working round the clock to analyse data, provide advice, coordinate with partners to help countries prepare and respond to COVID-19.

The WHO Pre-qualification teams are also dedicating time to COVID-19 activities such as on preparing the Emergency Use Listing for Diagnostic tests.

Some delays in prequalification activities are likely to occur since inspections must be suspended or postponed due to travel restrictions and closure of manufacturing sites.
